St. Joseph's R.C. Church is found on Cardowan Road opposite St. Joseph's Primary School.  Parish Priest is Father Kenneth O'Brien.

From 6 September 2015, St Joseph's, Stepps and St Dominic's, Craigend will merge.  Fr Kenneth O'Brien is now Parish Priest of both parishes.

Advent Services December 2015

St Joseph's Church - Thursday 3 December at 7.00pm - Exposition of The Blessed Sacrament, during which there will be the opportunity for confession.

Sacrament of Reconciliation: St Joseph's - Saturday: Following both Masses or on request.

Coffee Morning every Sunday in St Joseph's after 11 15am Mass in The Old School Centre. Tea/Coffee – 50p. Rolls and Bacon, Sausage or Potato Scone - £1.20 There is always plenty of fresh homebaking – cakes 50p. Proceeds will help support our sponsored school kitchen at Zammimba Primary School in Malawi. The parish continue to support our sponsored school kitchen through the charity Mary's Meals.

Celebrating The Sacraments: 

Baptism: by arrangement with the Parish Priest.  In line with the Diocesan Policy, there is a preparation meeting for the celebration of this sacrament.

Marriage:  in line with Diocesan Policy, a minimum of six months notice must be given, during which all couples will be expected to participate in Preparation Meetings for their celebration.

Anointing of the Sick:  on request.  Anyone with a planned stay in hospital should arrange to celebrate this Sacrament before admission.

St Joseph's - Rosary:  The public recitation of the Rosary begins 20 minutes before weekday morning Mass and on Tuesday evening at 7.30pm

St Joseph's - Society of St Vincent De Paul: meet every Sunday following 11.15am Mass.

St Dominic's - Legion of Mary meet every Monday at 7.00pm in St Dominic's Church Hall.

Stepps Tennis Club is situated in the heart of the village, located within an attractive park setting. It has 3 courts which are well maintained by its members. The season runs from early April to late October.

Stepps Tennis Club has a social and lively membership for all ages. Minis, juniors, seniors and veterans are all provided with plenty of playing and coaching opportunities, together with a wide range of competition and tournaments.

The club has senior and junior teams playing in the West of Scotland leagues.

Since 1905 Stepps Bowling Club has provided lawn bowling and many social activities to bring together the community of Stepps. Over one hundred years of bowling in Stepps has seen many changes in the club and with the green in great condition at the moment, there has probably never been a better time to get involved with the club. Lethamhill Golf Course

Lethamhill is an 18 hole course located on Cumbernauld Road next to Hogganfield Loch. There is no need to be a member at Lethamhill you can simply pay at the location before teeing off. An outline of the course and the current price list can be found from Glasgow City Council.


Crow Wood Golf Club

Crow Wood can be found at the other side of Stepps, first left after the Crow Wood roundabout heading towards Stirling on the A80. There are a variety of memberships available if you wish to join contact Crow Wood Golf Club.
